Your Growing Exposure for Identity Theft Risks in the Workplace
This workshop aims at providing small business owners, human resource and benefit managers, insurance executives, brokers, and consultants with critical information about the epidemic of identity theft that is impacting the workplace every day. The FBI calls identity theft, "the fastest growing white-collar crime in America," while the Federal Trade Commission reports that identity theft affects 2,700 Americans each and every day.
Employment Benefits and Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist, Mr. Rudy L. Kusuma, will will cover such topics as: how criminals steal information, how stolen information is used, and how the responsibility and liability of identity theft has been placed squarely on the shoulders of companies by the Federal Government with the creation of FACTA (the Fair and Accurate Transaction Act), HIPAA Security Rule, the Gramm, Leach, Bliley (GLB) Safeguard Rule, and numerous individual state laws. Accordingly, the FTC now requires any company, municipality or organization that maintains information on employees or customers begin to take steps to reduce these risks now!
Attend this workshop to learn how you can protect yourself and your company
from the onslaught of lawsuits and liabilities relating to identity theft.

MAJOR GREEN EVENT PLANNED IN JUNE
Green Days in Beverly Hills, International Environmental Exposition
and Sustainability Conference
The first large-scale environmental event to be held in Beverly Hills is scheduled for the weekend of June 23, 24. Green Days in Beverly Hills, as its extended title explains, has a dual purpose: it is an International Environmental Exposition as well as a Sustainability Conference. Both are organized by the European Business Council.
The Conference is intended as a forum for intelligent discussion of environmental challenges that will bring together distinguished speakers and innovators. Stanford Ovshinsky, prolific inventor and creator of the solar cell; Edward Mazria, noted architect of the 2030 Challenge and author of The Passive Solar Energy Book; Hunter Lovins, world-renowned advisor and co-author of Natural Capitalism; and Neel Bradham, VP of Business Development for Interface, Inc. and manager of InterfaceRAISE, will be keynote speakers.
The Environmental Exposition will showcase economically viable, green products designed for: builders and architects; businesses looking to convert their existing operations; developers (commercial and residential); and home owners. A large section of the exposition will be devoted to renewable and self-sufficient energy systems. Renato Romano, president of the European Business Council, says, "We need practical answers. How do we make green living and green business economically viable? With this event, we are proposing some concrete solutions-products, yes, of course, but also a tough, realistic look at financing."
Green Days will be held on the campus of Beverly Hills High School. Contact info at eubc.us or 310.475.8121 for more information.
